
Rev. Kenneth E. Robinson
Reverend Kenneth Eric Robinson was the fourth of six children born to Deacon and Sis. Frank and Shirley Robinson in Cleveland, Ohio. Reverend Robinson is a product of the Cleveland public school system where he graduated from John Marshall High School in 1985. Interestingly, Pastor Robinson was a part of the first group of students who were forced to participate in the Cleveland Municipal School District’s desegregation process that began in 1979.
He accepted Christ as his personal Savior at the age of 10, on the first Sunday in April 1976, at the Second Mount Carmel Missionary Baptist Church of Cleveland, Ohio under the pastorate of the Reverend Dr. C. D. Gant. Second Mt. Carmel has continued to be his church home for over 43 years.
After graduating from high school, He worked several temporary minimum wage jobs for a year or so before joining the United States Army in 1986. Reverend Robinson specialized in Human Resources (Recruiting and Retention) and Logistics. This would be his career for the next twenty-six years, retiring as a highly decorated Sergeant First Class.
In August 1994, Reverend Robinson accepted his call to ministry, preaching his first sermon in October of the same year. He was ordained three years later under the tutelage of Dr. C. D. Gant.
After retiring from the military in 2012, Reverend Robinson decided to go back to school fulltime. He joined the John Carroll University community as an undergraduate majoring in Theology and Religious Studies. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in 2015 and his Master’s Degree in 2020. Both degrees where in Theology and Religious Studies. An honorary Doctorate of Divinity Degree was presented to him for his work in Denominational Work by the Liberty Baptist District Association.
Given a multitude of assignments by God over the course of his preaching ministry, Reverend Robinson was called to pastor Second Baptist Church of Benton Harbor, Michigan and voted in as Pastor on February 10, 2019.
He has served as the President of Christian Education for the Liberty Baptist District Association, President of the Christian Education Department for the United of God’s People Baptist District Association, Secretary of the Northeast Ohio Association of Baptist Ministers, committee member of the Baptist Pastors Conference of Greater Cleveland and Vicinity, member of the Baptist Ministers conference, Greater Cleveland and Vicinity, and Pilgrim’s Minister’s Conference, Greater Cleveland and Vicinity.
Reverend Robinson completed one unit of the Clinical Pastoral Education Certification Program and served as Third Vice-Moderator of the Liberty Baptist District Association. He served as President of the Congress of Christian Education, United Missionary Baptist State Convention of Ohio where the Reverend Dr. Ivory K. Jones III is the Convention President. Reverend Robinson is a graduate and certified instructor for the Congress of Christian Education, National Baptist Convention, USA, Inc.
He currently works as a Chaplain for the Heart to Heart Hospice in South Bend, Indiana.
Rev. Robinson and his wife Stephanie Robinson are the proud parents of three daughters, Kiarra Chantell (D’Aires,) Krystan Olivia and Kennedy Alexia, and the grandparents of twin granddaughters RhaNajjia and Rha’Niya and grandsons Kivonn and D’Aires Jr.

First Lady Stephanie Robinson is the wife of Pastor Kenneth E. Robinson of Second Baptist Church, Benton Harbor, MI. She is the mother of three daughters, Kiarra, Krystan and Kennedy, one son in-law, Reverend De’Aires Farmer and four grandchildren, Rhynia, Rhneja, Ki’Vonne and De’Airres Jr. Sister Robinson holds a Master’s Degree in Counseling (Marriage & Family Therapy), Master of Education and currently studying for her Doctor of Education. She is an employee of Kinexus Group as an Academic Instructor and cherishes every moment of empowering her students. Upon completion of her Doctorate degree, Sister Robinson aspires to continue to teach and counsel our disadvantaged students and families of all ages.
Sister Robinson’s favorite scriptures are Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all of your heart and lean not unto your own understanding” and Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” She is faithful in her service to the Lord, working in the vineyard in whatever capacity needed and just wants to be known as a true woman of God, living a life that is pleasing to the Lord with a sincere heart for God’s people. Her favorite saying is “Love is as Love does” …
